The Kentucky Riverkeeper is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization in residence at EKU's Center for Appalachian Studies.

The Kentucky Riverkeeper was founded on the notion that, by working with citizen coalitions throughout the watershed, we can find ways to restore the Kentucky River in the next few decades. We emphasize: Education, Research & Monitoring Service Learning, Listening, and Advocacy.
